My guide, Elisabeth, was knowledgeable and passionate about Quito’s history and culture. She wasn’t scripted; she brought the city to life. Day one explored Quito itself: Virgin of El Panecillo, Basilica del Voto Nacional, the grand Plaza Grande. Elisabeth’s explanations were insightful, and she welcomed questions. We even enjoyed a private chocolate tasting – a delicious surprise!
Day two ventured outside Quito. We explored the fascinating Cochasqui Pyramids, learning about the mysterious pre-Incan builders. We also visited beautiful lakes and volcanoes, taking in Ecuador’s stunning scenery. The vibrant Otavalo market was a highlight, offering unique souvenirs and a taste of local life.
Tours Around Quito impressed with professionalism. Gustavo, our driver, was excellent, navigating safely and efficiently. Private transportation was a major plus, allowing comfortable travel and on-the-fly itinerary adjustments. When I requested a specific site, Elisabeth included it with no pressure to rush.

Gus gave us the perfect Quito layover tour! Debi and I only had 7 hours before our flight, but Gus made sure we saw the best of Quito. He was knowledgeable, professional, and his English was fantastic. We felt safe throughout the tour. Gus even recommended a local spot for dinner to eat with the locals – a truly authentic experience! He dropped us at the airport right on time. We highly recommend Gus’s services!
We were a family of 6 spending two weeks traveling around Ecuador and we needed transportation. Tours Around Quito provided a van and driver, and took us everywhere we wanted to go (Baños, Cotopaxi, Quito, Otavalo, Cotacachi and Mindo). The van was comfortable, and the driver (Julio) drove safely, which was a major plus, given how erratic other cars and trucks were on the Ecuadorian roads and highways. Also, we wanted a tour guide to show us around the historic district of Quito, and Gustavo was our personal guide. He spent half a day with us, and we found him to be interesting, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Tours Around Quito if you’re visiting Ecuador!

Gustavo was a great guide. I booked my toor with him from the the Quito airport to the city wit only 12 hours notice, and we managed to coordinate while I was Bording.
We had a great chat and I learned a lot about the city while getting to my hotel. And Gustavo helped me out with the atm, I think we went to 3 before the atm would take my card. All in all a great experience. 5 out of 5 stars, would highly recommend!
